Prof. Dr. med. Dr. med. dent. Daniel Rothamel

Prof. Rotamel's clinical specialization ranges from jaw orthopedics to head and neck tumor removal.

The clinic that Dr. Rothamel heads takes care of both adults and children. Correction of lip and palate cleft in newborns, reconstruction after injuries, aesthetic procedures; this is by no means a complete list of the most complex interventions, which are the daily routine for the professor and his team. Notably, the professor does not perform surgeries, but is very much involved in the preoperative procedures and postoperative monitoring of patients.

With his excellent education (two doctorates in dentistry and general medicine), Daniel Rotamel has had the opportunity to improve his practical skills not only in leading German hospitals, but also abroad.

Besides his engagement as chief of the clinic and a university professor, Dr. Rotamel is actively involved in research. His main area of scientific interest is biomaterials used in implant dentistry. He is a referee for several international specialist journals and has authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications.
