Markus Möller is the head of the Department of Glomerular Diseases and leads the University Department of Preventive and Translational Nephrology. One of his main specializations is the therapy of diseases caused by structural and functional kidney pathologies, such as nephropathies of various etiologies, focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, membranous glomerulonephritis, membranoproliferative syndrome.
Professor Möller is engaged in a wide scientific activity. He is the author of over 130 scientific publications. His contribution to the development of science has been recognized by many professional awards, including the Franz Volhard Prize from the German Society of Nephrology. Prof. Möller is also one of the founders of the Center for Rare Diseases Aachen (ZSEA).
