Dr. Med. Sebastian Pfeiffer consults and treats patients with a wide range of diseases and conditions associated with immune system failure, such as infertility, miscarriage, implant rejection, chronic fatigue syndrome and susceptibility to infection.
With solid training in immunology and laboratory medicine backed up by vast practical experience, Dr. Sebastian Pfeiffer devotes most of his clinical work to three issues: infertility treatment, chronic fatigue syndrome and high susceptibility to infections.
Handling infertility cases, he focuses on finding its causes, since hiding behind the distressing diagnosis is very often the lack of knowledge about certain abnormalities in the body's defense system, which actually prevent a seemingly healthy couple from having children. In many cases, a subtle correction of a woman's own immune system is enough to significantly increase the chances for a successful pregnancy.
Many patients who come to Dr. Pfeiffer with complaints of unaccountable tiredness already have a long history of doctor appointments. Realizing that in such cases conventional laboratory tests are insufficient, the doctor uses special exams aimed at detecting changes in the cellular immune system. Based on their results, specific immune correction therapy is suggested.
Specific laboratory diagnostics are also recommended in cases of increased susceptibility to various infections. An in-depth understanding of cellular and humoral immunity mechanisms allows Sebastian Pfeiffer to develop individual therapeutic tactics that help to "wake up" the patient’s own defense system and successfully resist diseases.
