With more than 500 newly diagnosed breast cancer operations every year, Breast Center Niederrhein in Moenchengladbach is one of the largest breast care centers in Germany.
It received official status in 2003 and successfully passed the relevant certification.
The Center's priority is to develop an individual treatment concept for each patient. The doctors consider providing high-quality diagnostics and advanced therapy as their main task. Here one can get comprehensive advice on such complex procedures as oncoplasty, breast reconstruction, breast reduction and aesthetic operations. All cases are sometimes more than once discussed by a team of experts from different specialties. Many of the Center's staff have special expertise in diagnostics (DEGUM-II level in breast sonography) and surgical treatment (Senior Breast Surgeon).
The Moenchengladbach breast care providers’ effort has been highly esteemed for many years: FOCUS and Stern magazines have repeatedly listed it as one of the leading German breast cancer treatment facilities. The head of the Center, Dr. Oleg Glutz, is a member of the working groups for the development of national clinical guidelines in the field of gynecological oncology and breast cancer.
The current ranking of FOCUS magazine once again names Breast Center Niederrhein as one of the country’s best breast care clinics. This is the result of an evaluation of more than 1,000 specialized medical facilities on such parameters as qualification of specialists, patient satisfaction, technical equipment, risk management, hygiene standards.
