The Golden Chameleon goes to the Endometriosis center in Moenchengladbach

Dr. Darius Zalein's clinic has been certified as a patient-centered endometriosis center for the second time.

In December 2023, the Gynecology Department at Bethesda Evangelical Hospital in Mönchengladbach became the only medical facility in Germany to receive the national certificate as a patient-centered endometriosis center for the second time. The certificate is called the "Golden Chameleon" and has been awarded by the All-German Endometriosis Association since 2020; notably, the specialized center at Bethesda was also the first one to receive such a certificate.

Endometriosis is a condition known for the diversity of its manifestations, which can change like the colors of a chameleon. However, for the organization that founded this award, the golden chameleon primarily symbolizes a treatment that takes into account all aspects of the disease, is individually adapted to each clinical case and is committed to the patient's well-being.

Thus, the second Golden Chameleon given to the endometriosis center in Moenchengladbach is a recognition of its success in improving the quality of care with a focus on customization and creating an environment that provides optimal treatment for its patients.

Dr. Zalehin, the Chief Physician, believes: "The most effective method of both diagnosis and therapy at all stages of the disease are minimally invasive procedures, which make it possible to achieve the most effective result with minimal risks".
